Urus vs. G63 vs. Cullinan: Which Luxury SUV to Rent in LA
Three very different SUVs. We compare the Urus, G63 and Cullinan on power, seats, price and character so you can pick the right one.

In Los Angeles, the SUV is the car that does everything. Airport runs, dinners, beach days and nights out. If you are planning a luxury SUV rental in Los Angeles, three names come up first: the Lamborghini Urus, the Mercedes-AMG G63 and the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. They cost very different amounts and feel nothing alike. Here is how they compare.
The comparison at a glance
All figures below come from the cars in the MACH fleet. Rates are daily 24-hour rates.
| Model | Power | 0-60 mph | Seats | Daily rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lamborghini Urus | 641 hp | 3.4 s | 5 (silver car: 4) | $995 |
| Lamborghini Urus S | 657 hp | 3.4 s | 5 | $1,095 |
| Lamborghini Urus Performante | 657 hp | 3.3 s | 5 | $1,295 |
| Mercedes-AMG G63 | 577 hp | 3.9 s | 5 | $695 |
| Rolls-Royce Cullinan | 600 to 650 hp | 4.4 to 4.5 s | 5 | $1,595 |
The Cullinan figures vary slightly across the three cars in the fleet. The satin white car and the Black Badge are listed at 600 hp and 4.4 seconds; the black Cullinan at 650 hp and 4.5 seconds.
Lamborghini Urus: the super SUV
The Urus is a supercar that happens to have five doors. Twin-turbo 4.0L V8, 641 hp and 0-60 in 3.4 seconds. It sits low, looks sharp and sounds the part. As a Lamborghini Urus rental in Los Angeles, it is the most exciting of the three.
Which Urus
- Urus, white at $995 per day, five seats. The silver Urus is the same rate but seats four.
- Urus S in satin black, 657 hp, $1,095 per day.
- Urus Performante in yellow. Lighter, lower and sharper, with 0-60 in 3.3 seconds. $1,295 per day.
- Urus Widebody, a black Urus with a widebody kit, $1,195 per day.
Best for: weekend trips, canyon drives, arriving somewhere with energy. It is less relaxed than the Cullinan on a long freeway day, and that is the point.

Mercedes-AMG G63: the icon
The G-Class is the most recognizable SUV in Los Angeles. The G63 has a hand-built twin-turbo 4.0L V8, side-exit exhaust and three locking differentials. 577 hp, 0-60 in 3.9 seconds, five seats. It is upright, boxy and unmistakable.
For a G-Wagon rental in Los Angeles, MACH has the G63 in several colors, all at $695 per day: black with red interior, China Blue, Matte Gold, Satin Black and Nardo Grey. More on our G-Wagon rental page.
Best for: West Hollywood nights, Beverly Hills errands and groups of friends. It is the best value of the three by a wide margin.

Rolls-Royce Cullinan: the quiet one
The Cullinan does not try to be fast, although it is quick. A twin-turbo 6.75L V12, all-wheel drive, rear-hinged coach doors and umbrellas in the doors. It is the calmest place to spend an hour in LA traffic. Five seats and $1,595 per day.
There are three in the fleet: the satin white Cullinan, the black Cullinan and the Cullinan Black Badge, the darker, more assertive version.

Best for: weddings, airport arrivals, family visits and anyone who values comfort over drama. See our Rolls-Royce rental page for the full lineup.

Living with each one in LA
Specs only tell part of the story. Daily life in Los Angeles means valet stands, hotel garages, tight hillside streets and long stretches of freeway traffic.
- Parking. The Cullinan is the largest of the three. It is easy to drive but takes more care in older garages. The Urus is lower and wider than it looks. The G63 is tall and upright, which makes it easy to judge in tight spaces.
- Ride. The Cullinan is the softest and quietest. The G63 feels solid and commanding. The Urus is firmer, especially the Performante.
- Getting in and out. The Cullinan's coach doors make rear-seat entry graceful, which matters for events. The G63 sits high. The Urus sits closer to the ground.
- Attention. All three draw looks. The Urus and the colored G63s draw the most. The Cullinan draws a different kind.
Alternatives worth a look
- Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600. Rear-focused luxury, twin-turbo V8 with mild hybrid assist. $795 per day. It is the Maybach rental in Los Angeles that families like for long days. The black and tan cars seat four with two individual rear seats; the silver car seats five.
- Cadillac Escalade. For an Escalade rental in Los Angeles with a group, the 6.2L V8, three rows and seven seats are hard to beat at $595 per day. The Escalade ESV Platinum adds cargo room behind the third row.
- Brabus G800. A Brabus-tuned G-Class with 700 hp and 0-60 in 3.8 seconds. $895 per day.
- Range Rover SE. A full-size luxury SUV with 518 hp and five seats at $595 per day.
Longer rentals
Every 3 days of rental, the daily rate drops by $100, never more than 25% off. A $695 G63 is $595 per day for 3 days. A $1,595 Cullinan is $1,495 per day for 3 days and $1,395 for 6. The team confirms the car, availability, rate and insurance before booking, and the fleet changes, so availability is confirmed per request.
